Out of the two letter-boxes installed at the main post office in the vicinity of old bus stand in Ponda, one letter box was recently removed from the concerned spot.
Perhaps the same might is in need of some repairs. Considering the ever-increasing number of customers visiting this major post office the whole day round, it is absolutely necessary for the higher officials at these premises to re-install the missing letter-box on priority basis so that public can drop their important letters in it.
As on Friday, December 07 at 6.10 pm, situation in this regard was found to be stagnant. Let us hope that necessary positive action would follow in this important matter at the earliest. Meanwhile, the gum bottle placed at the counter of these premises has always been noticed in a sorry state of affairs. Customers are compelled to use a wooden stick to seal their envelopes or fix the postal stamps.
Such a practice has been going on since quite long. Hence providing a new gum bottle at the counter would assure relief to public at large visiting these premises from time to time. Let us hope that situation in this regard would change at once in public interest.
