The 2025 syllabus, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizes “Indian ethos” through Sanskrit terms like janapada (settlements) and samrāj (supreme ruler), while also integrating modern references, such as the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Although the Kumbh Mela witnessed massive tourism, it also saw a tragic stampede that claimed 30 lives, which was not referenced in the revised content.
