The 15,800 fresh applications, along with the previous 3,800 suggestions and comments, will also be classified under various heads like those demanding scrapping, de-notifying, increase in road widths and conversion of zones.
The Town and Country Planning department had on December 1, 2015 kept the land plan open for fresh public suggestions and comments to make necessary rectification to RP21. The month-long deadline was extended to January 18, following public pressure.
Chief Town Planner ST Puttaraju said the department is currently in the process of classifying the applications taluka-wise. “The entire classification process will take time,” he said.
The applications would then be placed before the State Level Committee headed by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar for consideration and recommendation.
All 185 VP and nine municipal councils have been notified under RP21. The plan of each taluka was notified between November 25, 2010 and October 20, 2011.
