Tulshimala Drowning: 70-Year-Old Man’s Body Recovered After 35 Hours

The body of a 70-year-old man who drowned at Tulshimala in Bicholim was recovered at around 11 am on Wednesday after a search operation lasting nearly 35 hours. The operation was carried out jointly by the Bicholim Fire Force and an NDRF diving team.

The Bicholim Fire Force received a telephone call around 10.30 pm on Monday reporting that a local resident had fallen into the water and drowned. A team immediately rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.

The search continued under the guidance of Deputy Director of Fire Services Rajendra Haldankar, with assistance from NDRF divers. After sustained efforts, the man’s body was finally recovered on Wednesday morning, bringing the prolonged search operation to an end.
