The High Court has directed Israeli national Yaniv Benaim, alias Atala, to surrender before the trial court by September 16 in connection with a 2025 drugs case.
Atala has been absconding since the North Goa Special NDPS Court rejected his fresh bail application. Following his failure to appear, the trial court also issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against him.

The High Court has scheduled September 21 for hearing Atala’s petition challenging the lower court’s decision to reject his bail plea.
The direction comes as the legal proceedings against Atala continue, with the High Court set to consider his challenge to the trial court’s order.
