Four Goans have successfully completed the prestigious FIFA Coach Educators Diploma, marking a significant achievement for football coaching and coach education in the state.
The four-day programme was held in Bengaluru from September 5 to 8 and brought together 16 coach educators from across the country. The Goa contingent comprised Joshuah Vaz, AFC Futsal Tutor; Derryl Dsouza, Technical Director at Alchemy International – FC Porto Academy; Mario Aguiar, Goalkeeping Coach of the National Women’s Team; and Pradyum Reddy, coach.

Goa-based FIFA/AIFF Technical Expert Shekhar Kerkar served as the Coach Educator Developer (CED), mentoring the participants throughout the programme.
As part of the course, FIFA expert Oscar Gonsalves was appointed to support and guide the coach educators during the assessment process.
The FIFA Coach Educators Diploma began in 2022 and concluded in 2026 after participants completed a rigorous five-module programme. Completion of the diploma places the participants among a select group of coach educators worldwide to have successfully completed the programme.
The achievement is being seen as an important milestone for Goa’s growing contribution to football development, coaching and coach education at national and international levels.
