MARGAO: With the police busy patrolling various areas, thieves seemed to have struck it easy, robbing three offices, barely meters away from the South Goa police headquarters in Margao on Sunday
The offices of Anchor Advertisements, Menon Consultants and Wild Security Services were robbed by thieves. While a gold chain worth 40,000 and cash amounting to 38,000 was robbed from Wild Security office, around Rs 6000 was robbed from the office of Anchor Ads.
The fact that the robbers have been able to hatch their plot just 200 meters away from the police station has raised many eyebrows and initiated fresh demands of a planned and intensified night patrol.
Meanwhile, the accused in the Nuvem Carmel College robbery, Alex Mathew a Bangalore native was arrested by Cuncolim Police on Monday.
