Hedgewar school to be shifted on June 15

PANJIM: Schools will reopen for the new academic year on Monday, after the date had been postponed last week. The Education Department had postponed the reopening due to unavoidable circumstances.
As schools re-open, the Dr. K B Hedgewar High School that was slated to begin functioning from its new premises will now shift on June 15.
Principal of the school, Vilas Satarkar said that while they were planning on starting the new academic year in the new premises in Cujira, the final touches were still underway.
He added that while the finishing touches were being done at the new school premises, parents of the students enrolled have been voluntarily helping workers arrange desks and benches in the run up to the June 15 start.
Panjim-based Dr K B Hedgewar HS was one of the many schools from the city being shifted out to help ease traffic congestion. Schools with large student enrolment were to be shifted phase wise from the city to the complex in Cujira.
