The decision by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla and former coal secretary P C Parakh to move the Supreme Court on Wednesday challenging the summons issued by the trial court in the coal scam case for their appearance on April 8 was clearly on the cards.
It is now apparent that the threesome will not take the summons issued by the trial court lying down. It will be interesting to see the Supreme Court’s response to this move.
