VERNA: A total of 500 runners took part in the promotional run for the 2017 Goa River Marathon (GRM) held at Verna, on Sunday.
The promotional run received a very enthusiastic response from runners hailing from leading Goan running clubs like the Sussegado Runners, Panjim, Sussegado Runners, Vasco, Margao Sussegado Runners, Antruz Runners, Ponda and Fitness Freaks, Mapusa.
The promo-run held for distances of 5km-10km-16km-25km went past the IDC Verna Office, Pentair, Fire station, Pfizer, Commscope and headed out to the eastern part of the Verna industrial estate.
In a press release issued, the Vasco Sports Club, organisers of the popular, ‘Goa River Marathon’(GRM) stated that this year’s GRM was scheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2017 and registrations for the same had been opened on www.goarivermarathon.com”
On the occasion, an innovative, free coaching programme called “From 0 kms to 10kms” was announced. The programme will be monitored by experienced coaches and promises rookie participants a smooth finish at the Goa River Marathon.
