In fact, she was the cynosure of all eyes in the stands as she returned to Goa after staying away from the Congress election campaign in the run up to the polls. No sooner the referee blew the final whistle, the Varca strongman appeared a relieved man. The reason was not far too seek. Not only did his team defeat the mighty East Bengal, but the victory helped his team to stay afloat and fight the relegation battle. Buoyed by the success, Churchillbab was quick to tell the media that he would emerge triumphant on the political front too. Whatever the Congress or BJP may say and believe about his prospects, the Varca strongman is not willing to give up hopes of a victory. May 16 is his birthday, and Churchillbab knows for sure that a victory in the Lok Sabha election would be a perfect icing on the cake. While Churchillbab believes in the never say die attitude, his opponents say the writing on the wall is clear for the Varca strongman. The only question that is left unanswered, they say, is the number of votes Churchillbab would poll and whether his votes would impact the prospects of the Congress candidate.
