MARGAO: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has hit back at the Congress for raising the bogey of casinos.
When newsmen drew his attention to the criticism by Congress on casinos, Parrikar shot back saying the law to bring in casinos was made by the Congress. “The first casino was given the license by Congress. All subsequent casinos came to the State during the tenure of the Congress government. They should answer the people how much money they have made by issuing licenses,” he said. Replying to a question, he said his government has not granted any permission for casinos, adding that he has reduced the number.
