According to Bicholim police, the incident occurred late Wednesday night and the police constable, Arvind Gawas and his brother, Somnath Gawas, have been booked by the police under various sections of IPC.
On Wednesday, Somnath’s wife had accused the stepmother of assaulting the six-year-old daughter of Somnath.
On Thursday, the stepmother in a counter complaint stated that Somnath had assaulted her with a knife, while Arvind had pushed her 16-year-old daughter.
Arvind has been booked under the Children’s Act, while his brother has also been booked for assault.
