Merces youth drowns off Baga beach

A 25-year-old man from Merces Vaddy drowned in the sea off Baga on Saturday.
According to Calangute Police, Succorro Blacio D’Sa along with his Brother Savio and two cousins had gone to Baga for a picnic on Saturday noon.
After their lunch, Savio went for a swim but began to struggle in the sea.
Drishti lifeguards later brought him to the shore and he was rushed to the Candolim Primary Health Centre, where he was declared dead. The body has been preserved at the GMC mortuary in Bambolim and PSI Gaurish Parab is investigating the case.
