Mercury level falls

Rain and thunder showers since Friday night has brought down rising mercury levels by more than 4 degrees giving some respite to the State which was reeling under simmering heat and humidity.

While the capital city reported 8 mm of rainfall, other areas reported 1 or 2 cms of rainfall since Friday night. On Saturday, Goa experienced cloudy weather and light drizzles till noon.

While weather conditions improved later in the day, the weather bureau forecasts light rainfall and thunder showers in several isolated places in the State.
