Dharmendra Singh to be new Chief Secy

PANJIM: Principal Secretary Dharmendra Singh will replace R K Srivastav as Chief Secretary after the latter retires on December 31. Singh, a 1988 batch IAS officer will take over all the portfolios currently handled by Srivastav including Home, Personnel, Tourism, Water Resources, and Town & Country Planning. He will also officiate as Chief Vigilance Officer. Singh is currently holding charge of PWD, Transport, Vigilance and Information & Technology.
Srivastav, who was given two extensions of three months each, has been appointed as State Election Commissioner. He will take over on January 15, 2017.
IAS officer Dr Ranbir Singh has been allotted GAD and Mines & Geology in addition to Forest, Environment, Science and Technology and Housing portfolios.
IAS officer Padma Jaiswal has been appointed as Member Secretary of Goa State Commission for Backward Classes and Secretary of Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
