MARGAO: Churchill Brothers edged past FC Goa 3-2 in their AIFF U-15 Youth League match held, at the Astro turf football ground of Chowgule College, on Monday.
Churchill Brothers dominated the game and they held the advantage in the first half. They managed to score in the 40th minute when Harsh Patre found the back of the net.
But FC Goa responded in the second half as Valentino Carvalho scored in the 63rd minute.
the game was evenly poised when Harsh Patre scored again in the 79th minute to make it 2-1.
There was some late action and Patre scored his hat-trick in the 87th minute as they looked to seal victory. FC Goa tried a final flourish as they scored the second through Veliston in the 92nd minute as the game ended 3-2.
