A Margao court has stayed the order issued by the Margao Municipal Council stopping the exhibition cum sale at the BPS grounds.
Confirming the court order, MMC Chief Officer, Y B Tawde said that the court has ordered the Civic body to refrain from interfering with the exhibition cum sale till July 31.
The Civic body had issued a notice on the organisers of the exhibition cum sale to stop all business activities at the BPS grounds on grounds that the exhibition was held at the venue for two days without permission.
Moreover, what had further influenced the Civic body to issue the notice was the morcha taken by the New Market Traders to the Civic Chairperson Savio Coutinho. The traders had argued that the organisers had violated the Municipal rules by holding the show for two days sans permission.
