GGEA strike notice still ‘in force’

PANJIM: Goa Government Employees Association (GGEA) on Saturday decided to hold back preparations for the morcha on December 7 and said the strike notice will continue till the government issues the notification.

PANJIM: Goa Government Employees Association (GGEA) on Saturday decided to hold back preparations for the morcha on December 7 and said the strike notice will continue till the government issues the notification.
GGEA, at an emergency meeting on Saturday, following cabinet approval for the 7th Pay Commission after a cabinet meeting, has demanded that the government issue the notification by November 29 or else the association will start preparations for the morcha.
GGEA also asked the government to implement the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission to employees working in corporations, autonomous bodies and societies.
, agencies and PSU, panchayati raj institutions and urban local bodies at the earliest. 
GGEA demanded to implement the enhanced rates of transport allowance and house rent allowance after the committee of the government of India submits their request and their acceptance by the government of India.
