Panjim: A fire broke out at Francisco Martins Event LLP Decoration Material Yard at Old Goa early Friday morning. While the exact cause of fire is still being probed, an approximate estimate of direct damage is also being ascertained.
Old Goa Fire Station Officer Namdeo Dhargalkar stated that they had received a call at around 7 am, following which, fire personnel from Old Goa, Panjim, Ponda, Kundaim and Panjim headquarters rushed to the site to douse the fire. They returned to fire station after nearly six hours

Some decoration material, a truck and a scooter was damaged at the incident while fire personnel also managed to save an adjacent shed with decoration material.
