MARGAO: Andrew Antonio Peixoto was the first to file his nomination for the elections in ward No 5 of Chandor Cavorim that were countermanded following the death of candidate Joaquim Peixote.
Andrew who filed his nomination on June 15 was elected as a panch to represent the same ward at the elections held in 2012.
The surviving candidate of ward no 5 Raymond D’Cruz is expected to file his nomination.
