Daily commuters travelling on the Margao to Panjim route face many problems. During the morning and evening peak hours (7 am to 9 am and 5.45 pm to 7.30 pm) the frequency of KTC buses is very bad and there aren’t sufficient buses plying.
The fares have been hiked and commuters are left with no option but to pay extra, but the KTC authorities have made no effort to ease the problems of the commuters. Also, although KTC has introduced new buses, no proper maintenance of the buses has led to the buses breaking down.
In my case for instance, traveling from Panjim to Margao in the evening recently, bus No 272 had a break down thrice at the same place close to Bambolim.
I would request the authorities concerned to look into this problem, so that this daily problem faced by many of us travelling to our place of work and back is sorted out.
