Order extending curfew issued

PANJIM: The District Collectors on Sunday issued order extending the State-wide curfew till 7 am of July 5 with no further relaxation in any service.

To further combat the virus, the State on Saturday decided to extend the State-wide curfew till 7 am of July 5.

The earlier restrictions including timings of essential shops will remain between 7 am to 3 pm as against 1 pm. 

Government, last week, while extending the curfew, had allowed opening of shopping malls and fish markets.

All other restrictions imposed earlier continue to remain in force. 

The pandemic-induced curfew was initially imposed in Goa on May 9 and was supposed to be lifted on May 24 but the State government extended it till May 31 given the surge in fresh coronavirus cases.

The curfew was thereafter extended till June 7 and later till June 14.
