Dempo walk past Vasco

Dempo SC scored an easy 4-0 win against Vasco in GFA Kingfisher Pro-League at Tilak Maidan here on Sunday. They led 2-0 at the break.
Dempo managed to get into rhythm easily unlike their earlier match where they slogged to overcome Sesa FA.
Joaquim Abranches struck a brace just before injury time, while Kalu Ogba and Roberto Silva rounded off the tally.
Coach Armando Colaco displayed an experienced squad to get their act together and Brazilian Roberto Silva and Nigerian Kalu Ogba sweated it out right till the final whistle.
Vasco had hardly anything to offer as their goalkeeper Milagrio Pereira sustained a cut on the eyebrow early in the game and as a result had to walk out of the field. Play was brought to a standstill for 15 minutes as the physician tended to the wound of the injured keeper.
Two minutes after play resumed, Kalu Ogba struck the opener, and a little later, before heading for the lemon break, Joaquim Abranches scored the team’s second..
After change of ends, Dempo managed to net their third goal as an unstable rival defence failed to thwart Peter Carvalho’s shot.
The ball deflected off a rival defender and landed before Roberto Silva, who made no mistake. Joaquim Abranches then rounded off the tally off Peter Caravalho.
The referee flashed the yellow to Mickey Fernandes, Aiken Dias and Roberto Silva of Dempo as well as to Joel Sequeira of Vasco.
