CHANDOR: Anshuman Agarwal will meet Nagesh Verenkar in Sub Junior Boys singles final at the 4th Naguesh and Sushila Verenker Memorial All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Chandor Club under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association(GTTA), at Chandor Club Complex.
In sub junior boys singles semi -finals, top seed Anshuman was stretched to four sets by Aaron Colaco while second seed Nagesh was at the top of his game in a 3-0 win over his arch rival Shantesh Mapsekar. Meanwhile, Anshuman Agarwal, Nagesh Verenker, Jayz Gomes and Shantesh Mapsekar have moved into the last four in Junior boys singles. Following are the results:
Sub Junior boys quarter-finals: Anshuman Agarwal bt. Priyam Redkar 3 – 0 (11-5, 11-9, 12-10), Aaron Colaco bt. Advait Mudras 3 – 0 (14-12, 12-10, 11-6)
Nagesh Verenkar bt. Azriel Fernandes 3 – 0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-4), Shantesh Mapsekar bt. Aarav Aiyer 3 – 0 (11-3, 11-9, 11-2).
