The issue of the alleged forced installation of smart electricity meters came up for hearing before the Goa Human Rights Commission on Thursday.
During the proceedings, the Amicus Curiae appointed in the matter submitted a report to the Commission for its consideration.
The case pertains to complaints regarding the installation of smart meters, with concerns having been raised over their alleged implementation without the consent of consumers.
The Human Rights Commission is expected to examine the report and consider the next course of action as the matter continues to be heard. Further proceedings are awaited.
