Former councillor Jaffer Budani has called for an immediate cleanliness drive at the South Goa Police Headquarters in Margao following reports that three police personnel have been infected with dengue.
Addressing the media, Budani stressed the need to maintain proper sanitation in and around the district police headquarters to curb the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

He alleged that several vehicles seized in connection with various cases have been lying unattended within the police station premises for an extended period, creating potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Budani also claimed that garbage is not being cleared regularly, resulting in heaps of waste accumulating at multiple locations inside the compound.
Urging immediate intervention, the former councillor appealed to the authorities to remove scrap vehicles, clear the accumulated waste, and ensure regular maintenance of the premises.
He said timely action is essential to protect the health of police personnel as well as members of the public who visit the South Goa Police Headquarters.
