Former Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has announced his intention to contest the 2027 Goa Assembly elections from the Mandrem constituency.
Parsekar said he has met former Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte and asserted that the two are together in working for the future of Mandrem.
The former chief minister’s announcement sets the stage for an interesting political contest in Mandrem ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
Parsekar, who has represented Mandrem in the past, said his decision to enter the electoral fray is driven by his commitment to the constituency and its future.
