PANJIM: Reacting to remarks made at a public meeting of the Independent candidate from Navelim, Edwin (Cipru) Cardozo, that he had rigged the elections along with the BJP, GPCC president Luzininho Faleiro said “I’m the son of the soil. I know how much our people have suffered. I left the Centre where I was in charge of five states. I returned to respond to the cry of the common Goan. Now one Independent in my constituency, Cipru, promoted by Vijai Sardesai has tried to damage me with a sick remark that I’m rigging these elections with BJP and Manohar Parrikar. I don’t want to dignify this remark with a response. People of Goa will respond to such elements on polling day.”
“When I go as a representative of the people of Navelim they will be proud to see me repair the damage done to Goa, as I will serve everybody without discrimination,” said the GPCC chief.
