Lights out!

This is the situation at Kegdevelim, Reis Magos for the last three months. After repeated appeals made to the concerned ward member as is required, darkness still prevails.

On my last query at the Department office, I was told the fittings are not available. There could only be two explanations–Lack of local funds or short supply. If it is the latter reason, I would urge the manufacturer to come! Make in Goa. Decent roads, well lit streets should be the order of the day.
Not Defexpo, golf courses, casinos benefitting only a few rich. Incidentally, my file regarding change in tariff from commercial to residential is sitting pretty at the local (Reis Magos) electricity department. I am at a loss to understand why a mere visit by the JE to confirm/verify details in my application should take so long. Is this the way forward for Goa?
