PERNEM: Colvale police on Sunday arrested two for illegal sand extraction and seized two trucks which were involved in transportation of the same at Colvale.
According to Colvale police, two trucks carrying sand were heading towards Margao from Pernem. Acting on the information police intercepted both at four road, Colvale and later took them into custody.

Police said that both arrested accused were identified as Zalil Mohammad and Sebastian Mendes from Bali and Kankavli respectively. PSI Mandar Parab is further investigating the case.
