Margao Police collects Rs 32L in fines

MARGAO: The Margao Police collected over Rs 32 lakh in fines for various violations mainly for not wearing mask and Motor Vehicle Act violations during the lockdown period. 

The South Goa District has totally collected over Rs 1 crore in fines for the rules violations.  The Fatorda Police Station headed by Police Inspector Kapil Nayak has booked 3,139 cases of violations for not wearing masks, 8,474 for Motor Vehicle Act and collected Rs 12, 24, 800 in fines. Margao Police have booked cases, registered FIRs, seized vehicles and collected Rs 6, 72, 650 in fines.
