MAPUSA: Congress leaders from Calangute Constituency to write Congress high command on alleged illegal activities of Ports and Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo and also to write Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and other concerned authorities to initiate action against business deals of the Minister.
Addressing a press conference, former Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes, Former sarpanch Joseph Sequira, Congress Block President Benedict D’Souza accused BJP of running the party with drug money.

They also questioned the Congress leaders from Goa who are in talks with him if they also want to run the Congress party with drug money.
Fernandes called the minister Pablo Escobar and further stated that he will officially write to party High Command on what is happening in Goa.
“Michael is king ping and expect the chief minister to sack him immediately and conduct inquiry, and expect the NCB and ED to carry out investigating on his dealing because the whole North Goa belt is infected with drugs which is controlled by one man,” said Fernandes
“There was gang war in Calangute. There is no security for women and it’s because of Michael Lobo, which is alleged by his own colleagues in the Assembly,” said Fernandes.
“If our party leaders are trying to tie up with this type of person then people of Goa will teach us lesson. We cannot have drug dealers running the party. We strongly object to this,” said Fernandes.
Sequira highlighted the issue of pimps and prostitution running in the Constituency.
“He himself stated that he knows the police officials involved in drugs but none of the former CMs as well as present CM took any action. That means Michael is running the party,” said Sequira. He also alleged that Lobo is controlling the police who are protecting illegal businesses of Michael Lobo.
Sequira stated that he has recording that girls and drugs are openly being sold on the beaches of Calangute. Sequira also alleged that PI Raposo is mastermind and know where the drugsis.
The whole Calangute Constituency is being destroyed by Lobo with drugs.
