The matter is in court and the GCZMA had issued a stop work order on the alleged cutting of mangroves in the area for the construction of the garbage segregation plant.
Status quo ordered on Panjim garbage plant
PANJIM: The National Green Tribunal on Thursday ordered status quo on the work on the garbage segregation plant behind the Heera petrol pump in Panjim till May 25. The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority is due to file its affidavit on the existence of a plan mapping the mangroves in the area.
