PANJIM: Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, Cortalim defeated Blessed Joseph Vaz High School, Sancoale 2-0 to win the Mormugao Zone Subroto Mukherjee U-17 (girls) inter school football title. Lifa Gama played a stellar role for the Cortalim School, turning provider for Alina Vaz to score in the first
half and then scoring a gem of a goal in the second session after dribbling past a host of defenders.
In another U-14 boys match, Deep Vihar High School, Headland Sada won 4-2 via tie breaker over St Andrew’s Institute; Vasco, after the match remained tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
