In a recent complaint lodged with the Chief Electoral Officer of Goa, Sunil Kawthankar, Vice President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, has alleged serious violations of the Model Code of Conduct by Minister Subhash Faldesai, MLA of Sanguem Constituency.
According to the complaint, Minister Subhash Faldesai was observed moving between polling booths, allegedly influencing voters, and breaching protocol by skipping queues during the election in the 39-Sanguem Assembly Segment. The complaint further asserts that these activities were carried out in full view of polling officers.

Moreover, Faldesai reportedly posted a video of himself engaging in these actions on his official Facebook page, where he also purportedly urged voters to support the BJP candidate. This explicit call for support, within the precincts of a polling station, is deemed a clear violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
The complaint urges the Chief Electoral Officer to take immediate action against Faldesai and the polling officers involved, in accordance with the law. This accusation raises concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and underscores the need for stringent enforcement of election regulations to ensure fair and transparent elections.
