CM to decide on expo, sale at BPS Club

Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will finally decide the question on banning the exhibition-cum-sales at the BPS Club here.
A joint meeting between the Margao Municipal Council, New Market traders and BPS Club management will be held at the residence of the Chief Minister on Monday.
This was decided at a meeting agitated New Market Traders had with MMC Chairperson Savio Coutinho and Chief Officer Y B Tawde on Friday evening.
After the meeting, New Market Traders leader Vinod Shirodkar said the contentious issue of ban on exhibitions will be decided at a meeting with the Chief Minister. He asserted that the traders would not rest till the exhibition-cum-sales at the BPS club is banned.
MMC Chairperson Savio Coutinho said the BPS club management will be called for the meeting as their presence is required to ascertain the number of permissions normally granted by the club for exhibitions.
