PANJIM: Two.months ago Mamata Banneree arrived to meet her new family in Goa and test the waters of a new journey of the TMC away from Bengal.Two.months later she arrives having forged an alliance with one of Goa’s oldest party, Maharashtra Comantak Party (MGP) and will welcome the second former Goa Chief Minister into her party fold, Churchill Alemao.

This visit is about consolidation and reiteration. Which is why there are three public meetings in two days in different parts of the state of which one will be a joint one with MGP.The other in Benaulim will be to mark the re-entry of Alemao into TMC, who had once contested on this party’s ticket.
This visit has added importance since it will be the first visit of the AITMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
On Monday, a meeting of all Goa TMC leaders will be held at the International Centre, Goa at 2 pm followed by the public meeting in Benaulim at 3:30pm.
On the next day, Mamata Banerjee will address another public meeting in Panjim and then at Assonora (Tivim).
On Sunday evening, a huge crowd greeted her on arrival at the Dabolim airport as she arrived and left for her new private residence.
