The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), Goa Zone,
marked the sixth consecutive day of their impactful “De-addicting Goa
Caravan 2.0” campaign. The vibrant rally, brimming with enthusiasm,
commenced from Mapusa Taxi Stand, winding its way via Mapusa Court back to the
Taxi Stand, witnessing an overwhelming participation of students and
impassioned youth.
The fervor of the campaign extended to Vasco, where SIO Goa’s ‘De-Addicting Goa 2.0 Campaign Caravan’ collaborated with local school students, culminating in a powerful Mime act centered on the theme of “Drug Addiction.”

This concerted effort to address Goa’s drug concerns doesn’t halt here. The Caravan traversed through Ponda on the 17th, Bicholim on the 18th, it will return to Mapusa on the 19th, and a concluding program is scheduled in Panaji on the 20th, accompanied by a State-level Drawing Competition.
At its core, the ‘De-Addicting Goa 2.0 Campaign’ aspires to cleanse educational institutions and society in Goa of the drug menace. Its multi-faceted objectives encompass raising awareness about the root causes and far-reaching effects of drug abuse, while also striving to rebrand Goa as a beacon of a drug-free state.
The initiative’s emphasis on involving the younger generation through engaging activities like mime acts and drawing competitions highlights the concerted effort to inspire change and foster a drug-free environment in Goa.
As Goa continues to grapple with substance abuse issues, the ‘De-Addicting Goa 2.0 Campaign’ stands as a beacon of hope and action, rallying the youth and society at large towards a brighter, drug-free future for the state.
