PONDA: Sudden electrical fluctuations damaged electrical goods at six houses in Khedem Savoi Verem on Sunday.
Sudden high voltage was reported at around 2 am when a woman stated that a loud blast from the refrigerator scared her to death. She complained that other electrical appliances at her residence were damaged. Five other house owners complained that they met with a similar fate and suffered damages.

Electricity Department officials however stated that they were not informed about incident but residents demanded compensation from the government for the losses they suffered.
