CALANGUTE, OCT 9 Seven tourists, including a Russian, were saved from drowning in the Arabian Sea off Candolim, Calangute and Baga by the Drishti Surf Life Team on Friday.

Seven tourists, including a Russian, were saved from drowning in the Arabian Sea off Candolim, Calangute and Baga by the Drishti Surf Life Team on Friday.
According to Drishti reports, the Russian, Danny Skoriko (27), was saved by Drishti lifeguards Ravindra Korgaonkar and Sudhir Parab at Candolim after Danny called for help and complained of fatigue.
In another incident at Candolim, Akhilesh Rai (35) from Bangalore was saved by lifeguard Narayan Gawas.
At Calangute, three Indian tourists Munna Ramdurg (19) of Karnataka, Rahul Raj (21) of Kerala and Vipin K of Kerala were saved by Drishti lifeguards Sachin Naik, Arun Karbotkar, Vamant Tandel, Gopal Narvekar and Arun Kumbharjuvekar. 
In another incident at Calangute, Krishna C (30) of Karnataka was also saved by Surat Shiddekar and Arun Karbotkar.
At Baga, Nishal (21) of Bangalore was saved from drowning by lifeguard, Budhaji Gaonkar, after she struggled to make it to the shore.
