MARGAO: In a second election-related case reported from Nuvem constituency, the Colva police on Monday registered an offence against Goa Vikas party leader Mickky Pacheco and two others for alleged violation of model code of conduct.
South Goa District police chief Arvind Gawas informed that the police has registered the case against the trio under Section 188 read with Section 34 based on a complaint received from the returning officer, Nuvem constituency.
In his complaint, the returning officer is believed to have stated that Pacheco had a meeting in Betalbatim last week without obtaining the permission for use of loud speakers.
Earlier this month, the police had seized water storage tanks from Loutolim meant for distribution to the voters.
Meanwhile, the State Election Commission has sent the final report to Election Commission of India seeking advice on the alleged violation of election code of conduct by Aldona MLA Dayanand Narvekar.
