PANJIM: The JMFC Mapusa has acquitted a senior officer of a starred resort at Arpora in a molestation case of 2014 filed by a female employee of the resort.
The court passed the judgment on November 10, 2016 observing that the accused Dilano D’Costa of Verna was falsely implicated in the case. The court also observed that a false charge sheet was filed against the accused.
The accused was charged under Sections 354 and 354-D of Indian Penal Code. The court has said that investigation officer has not followed the guidelines mentioned by the Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar as he (IO) had not issued any notice to the accused before arrest.
