VASCO: Lack of willingness among elected representatives to finish public utility projects in Vasco, should be completed for the betterment of the city keeping aside internal politics and personal differences, said Nationalist Congress Party, Goa president Jose Philip D’Souza.
At a press conference held on Monday, NCP leader Jose Philip came heavily on the present MLAs of Mormugao taluka, specifically of Vasco which has remained underdeveloped for several years. This despite having stable government in the State and having adequate funds to undertake and complete the pending projects which are of great importance to the people of Vasco.
Naming few important projects D’Souza said that proposed projects like Modern fish market complex, Administrative building, Chief Officer’s Bungalow, Vasco fire station, Vegetables market, Development of lake near hotel Tania and Water reservoir, etc, are yet to get completed. He further demanded that Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant should immediately take stock of these issues so that people can enjoy the benefits of these public utility projects.
D’Souza further said all the proposed projects were pending for the last nine years despite of BJP’s rule in the State.
