PANJIM: Failing to have got respite from the Public Works Department over the neglected road connecting St Cruz to Taleigao, the residents of St Cruz village have decided to hold a peaceful protest outside the official bungalow of PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar, on January 26.

“We had submitted a memorandum to the PWD Minister and the department, on January 4, requesting to repair the road. It is in a dilapidated state since many years. We were assured by the Executive Engineer of our division that work would be taken up on priority but it’s been 21 days the work hasn’t started, despite an ultimatum,” activist Andrea Pereira said.
