PANJIM: Goa University women’s football team defeated RTM University, Nagpur 3-0 and Mumbai University 1-0 in the West zone inter-university championships to book their berth in the all-India finals.
Macrena Dias scored two and Rovita Fernandes scored one against RTM University.
In the second match, the all-important goal against Mumbai University was scored by Macrena Dias and later goalkeeper and captain Astrid Pereira saved a penalty in the dying minutes to take Goa University through to the all-India championship.
