PANJIM: SC Davorlim trashed CAC Cansaulim 5-0 to enter the semi-finals of the 13th Bebe Costa Memorial Inter-Village football organised by United Club of Benaulim and played at St John the Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim on Monday.
The Cansaulim defence comprising of Anthony Cardozo Melron Gama, Praruda Bagi and Cansio Soares Soares has a nightmare outing and conceded four goals in space of twenty minutes.
In a ruthless domination Davorlim’s flood gates floodgates opened in the 7th minute when striker Paxton Gomes latched on the fine through pass by medio Valmiki Miranda to round the rival goalkeeper Clinton Silva to slot into an empty net.
Perryson Rebello struck a brace in as many minutes to consolidate their position. Cansaulim were nowhere in the picture and the defenders who were playing deep were punished again when Perryson easily went past Anthony Cardozo and Melwyn Gama to feed Joel Colaco to tap in the fourth
Davorlim struck the fifth and the final nail in the coffin when winger Perryson completed his hat-trick a minute before the close.
