CHINCHINIM: Varca Sports Club thrashed host CRC Chinchinim 4-1 to storm into the quarter-finals of 15th CRC Chinchinim Cup football tournament organized by CRC Chinchinim, at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim.
Jhonus D’Costa opened the account for Varca SC in the 20th minute with a powerful rasping drive while Joylon Cardozo doubled the lead in the 40th minute.
Later, Selvin Fernandes pulled one goal back for CRC Chinchinim in the 50th minute.
Velriy Rodrigues scored in the 53rd minute while Joylon scored in the dying minutes of the second half to take the tally to 4-1.
