Mormugao Municipal Council has announced a comprehensive plan to remove excessive internet wires that have cluttered the city. MMC chairperson Girish Borkar informed that the council has decided to remove non-functional cables and put working internet and TV cables underground.
The decision was taken during a recent council meeting, where members voiced their concerns over the tangled web of wires that have mushroomed across the city. These wires, which often dangle precariously, not only mar the city’s appearance but also pose a potential hazard to pedestrians and motorists.

The council has planned to collaborate with internet service providers and telecommunication companies to streamline the installation of wires and cables.
