MARGAO: Goa Vikas Party general secretary Lyndon Monteiro has said the party does not want to speculate over the motive behind the search on his house as well as the residence of party supremo Mickky Pacheco.
“As of now, I would say, we would allow the search party to complete their job. Whatever cooperation and support they require has been given to them. I would say they should be allowed to complete their duties,” Lyndon told the media.
When asked whether he suspects the hand of anyone behind the raid, the GVP general secretary said “we would not like to comment or speculate on anything. They have come here to search under the IT Act. Let them complete their search and their investigations. Mickky being a law abiding citizen has extended all possible cooperation to the IT team”. When pointed out that the raid has come in the run up to the LS poll, Lyndon said it is indeed a coincidence that the raid has come in the run up to the election, but hastened to add “we would not like to speculate or give any connection at this juncture.
